Cold Roll Machinist- Nights

Job description



Pertemps West Bromwich are currently looking for a rolling mill operator for a well established manufacturer based in Oldbury.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• 
  
  
  • Set up and operate rolling mill/roll forming machinery according to production specifications
    
     
  
  
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain product quality
    
     
  
  
  • Conduct routine checks and inspections to ensure all products meet required standards
    
     
  
  
  • Perform basic maintenance for minor machine issues
    
     
  
  
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
    
     
  
  
  • Ensure production targets are met within established timeframes
    
     
  
  
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work area
    
     
  
  
  • Complete required production paperwork accurately

Requirements 

• Previous experience operating roll forming/rolling mill machines
  
   

• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  
   

• Ability to read technical drawings, measurements, and specifications
  
   

• Good understanding of manufacturing safety practices
  
   

• Excellent attention to detail
  
   

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  
   

 





Hours: This will be a fixed night shift working 18:00-04:30 Monday-Wednesday and 18:00-01:00 Thursday.



Pay: The rate of pay to start would be either £15.56 per hour or £16.48 per hour dependant on experience with a night shift allowance on top. This would be a temporary to permanent position for the right candidate.
