Pay Rate is £16.50- £18.00ph 
 
 
About the role

This position is responsible for managing a designated supplier base and ensuring strong overall supplier performance, including delivery reliability, cost control, and adherence to quality requirements. You will report into a Senior Buyer and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external suppliers to support smooth procurement operations.

 
Key responsibilities 

• Creating and managing purchase orders across multiple systems and procurement channels

• Monitoring MRP outputs and taking appropriate action to accelerate, delay, or cancel outstanding order lines

• Preparing and issuing RFQs, evaluating supplier quotations, reviewing technical drawings and release data, and establishing replenishment parameters for new components or services

• Managing and resolving supply related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, invoice discrepancies, overdue orders, and material shortages

• Driving value through cost reduction initiatives such as supplier benchmarking, value engineering, and optimisation of inventory replenishment approaches

 

 
Experience Required: 

• Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities

• Excellent communication and relationship building skills

• A demonstrated ability to achieve cost savings and/or improve supplier delivery performance

• Confidence working in a fast paced environment

• A proactive, self driven approach with the ability to work independently when required

• CIPS Level 4 (or equivalent qualification, or relevant hands on experience)

•  Experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role
