Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager,  Suitable candidates will have worked in a manufacturing environment, specifically press, machining and fabrication.   This role requires the ability to drive improvement, manage time effectively and be proactive.
If you have worked within thr Petrochemcial Industry this is a distinct advantage. 
 
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Manage the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2015
  • Address quality issues and minimise customer complaints through proactive problem resolution.
  • Internal auditing to ISO 9001:2015 across all processes, includes Sales, Purchasing, Material Allocation & Production.
  • External auditing to ISO 9001:2015 of approved and potential new suppliers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Review all closed out NCR’s.
  • Monitor and review all internal NCR’s.
  • Implementation of corrective/preventative actions.
  • Manage calibrations.
  • Review scrap lists and investigate any areas of concern.
  • Manage the training review across all departments. Liaise with departmental supervisors to action all training requests.
  • Prepare and submit Quality Plans, production schedules and NMR documentation in line with PO requirements.
  • Chair and minute Management Review Meetings. Report on product conformity, customer satisfaction, supplier analysis, and review of internal audits & process performance.
  • Manage the timely testing of material and adherence to specification requirements.
  • Plan and manage perpetual stock checks.
  • Manage and mentor all quality and progress personnel.
  • Support the sales team on technical specifications and decision making.
  • Serve as a collaborative team player and problem solver.
 
Experience
 
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager within a manufacturing setting is essential.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the requirement of ISO 9001: 2015
  • A good level of computer literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Microsoft Excel conversant.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with health & safety regulations.
