Class 1 HGV Driver

We’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 drivers to work with GXO in Newark, driving for one of the world’s biggest and best-known electrical brands. You’ll be delivering goods to stores on the day shift or if you prefer trunking to distribution centres these will be offered on night shifts.

New modern, clean trucks, well-planned routes and a transport team who is on hand to help no matter the time of day!  You’ll have the option of flexible shifts to suit your lifestyle — whether you prefer early starts, night shifts, or the occasional night out in the cab.

Here’s what’s on offer:

• £18.74hr days, £19.79hr nights, £20.83hr, Saturdays, £21.89hr Sundays
• Clean, modern fleet – curtain siders & box trailers
• No handball – stock moved by pump truck if needed
• Store deliveries and trunking work – no planned nights out unless you ask for it!
• Regular routes and start times 24/7
• 10-12 hr shifts each day
• Opportunities for training, development & permanent contracts

You’ll be joining a supportive new transport team that knows the industry inside out as one of the largest logistics companies in the region. If you’re the kind of driver who takes pride in doing a job properly, you’ll fit right in. We expect our drivers to complete vehicle checks, secure their loads safely, keep their paperwork in order and represent the brand with a professional attitude on the road.
