Pertemps are working with an established Manufacturing business based in Southampton who are recruiting for a Goods Inwards & Stores Person to join their team. This is a full time, permanent position.



Responsibilities as a Stores Person:

• Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries, check quantities, condition and documentation against purchase orders and delivery notes

• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies or variances

• Accurately book in stock, update inventory records and maintain system data to support stock visibility.

• Issue stock, parts and equipment through a controlled process

• Communicate shortages, damaged goods and delayed deliveries

• Maintain clean, safe and organised storage areas

Requirements:

• Proven goods inwards / stores experience  

• Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering business

• Confident Microsoft user

• Good understanding of components, parts and products

• Excellent attention to detail

The Stores person role:

• Starting Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

• Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm

• 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising up to 25 days with length of service)
