Job Description
- Base location: North London - Kentish Town (NW5 1TN) or Lea Bridge Depot (E5 9RJ)
- Full UK Driving Licence required.
- Working pattern or hours: Average 45 hours a week on a shift pattern including a standby rota.
What you’ll be doing as a Repair & Maintenance Operative:
As an R&M Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that all of the work which you undertake is completed to the correct safety and quality standards as directed by the R&M Technician.
What you should bring to the role
- Previous experience/training in a manual handling environment
- You must be able to meet the physical demands of the role with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers
- Be competent with IT and be computer literate
- Use your initiative and problem-solve where repairs are required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical messages in a simple way
- Have a can-do, positive attitude, remaining open to new ideas and change
- Be self-motivated and confident in completing tasks to the best of your ability
- Advantageous if you have a Street works qualification (NRSWA), an EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2 and/or a First aid qualification, but not essential.
- Offering a salary up to £34,000 per annum
- Annual Leave: 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
