Job Description

We are looking for a Leakage Optimisation Analyst to join our Leakage Optimisation Team!

You will be responsible for monitoring DMA leakage performance and initiating corrective actions. This will include day-to-day management and effective targeting of active leakage detection in the appointed health and safety, collaborating with field resources to drive improvements.

You will also be supporting the active prioritisation of repair backlog to help optimise leakage delivery of the active, visible, and customer-side leak repair activities.

What will you be doing as a Leakage Optimisation Analyst
  • Daily DMA leakage monitoring in their appointed hydraulic system.
  • Identifying issues in DMAs and issuing work for resolution promptly to ensure jobs are raised and resolved as quickly as possible.
  • Raising and assigning campaign packs to leakage detection partners, who will then proceed with managing the leakage detection technician’s performance.
  • Report and raise jobs for meter faults to maintain levels of DMA availability against. performance commitment and enable effective leakage targeting.
  • Support the Leakage Engineer with DMA improvement activities by identifying opportunities for more effective leakage management, operability anomalies, and by escalating function set anomalies for investigation.
  • Deputise for the Leakage Optimisation Engineer on occasion, attend meetings, etc and support the team to deliver the company’s leakage action plan and risk management plan.

Base Location: Deephams - N9 0BA.

Working Pattern: 36 Hours per week (Monday - Friday).

To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need are:
  • Have effective communication skills required for collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders in this role.
  • The candidate must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills along with a desire to learn and work hard to drive their career within Thames Water.
Additional skills and experiences would be great to have/bring:
  • Having a full driving licence and one's own transport is desirable, though not compulsory.
  • Have a working knowledge of water networks or hydraulic systems. Understanding is preferred but not mandatory.
