The Role
As Senior Systems Developer, you’ll be responsible for the configuration, innovation, and ongoing improvement of the IntelliPen pensions administration platform. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, external suppliers (notably Procentia), and senior stakeholders to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that enhance member experience and support operational excellence.

- Lead the development and configuration of workflows, calculations, reporting, document production, portals and system feeds within IntelliPen
- Own solution design from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with business needs and system architecture
- Work closely with QA and project leads to deliver testable, scalable solutions
- Support sprint planning and contribute to ongoing AAF compliance reporting
- Act as a technical expert in stakeholder meetings and cross-functional projects
- Provide mentoring and technical coaching to colleagues across the AST team

- Proven track record in defined benefit pensions systems
- Excellent SQL skills and solid Microsoft Office capability
- Experience in structured project environments (Agile, Waterfall or blended)
- Confident working across multiple projects and workstreams
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coach/mentor others
- Analytical, solutions-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills
