Picking Operative

Location: Stourport-on-Severn
Hours: Monday - Friday Rotating 6am – 2pm/2pm – 10pm
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary 
 
A local manufacture based in Stourport are looking for hard working, reliable people to assist them during peak season. As a Picker you will be responsible for the sorting and picking items from a conveyor belt and unloading containers.
 
The Duties of a Picker:

• Carefully inspect and pick through items from the conveyor belt
• Ensuring wood and other foreign items are separated from the items
• Work efficiently to meet daily picking targets while maintaining high standards
• Keeping workspace tidy and clear of any debris
• Move stock to different areas of the yard
• Working outdoors during all weather conditions

 
The Requirements of a Picker:

• Punctuality and attendance are crucial to maintain production schedules
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to withstand all weather conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

 
 
The role of a Picking Operative is working on a Temporary basis, working outdoors, ensuring the work area is clean and in good working order.
