Job Description
Are you a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a new long-term role? Do you enjoy working with children who have faced barriers to education? This welcoming special school in South Birmingham is looking to add a number of experienced teaching assistants to the team to support Key Stage 3 & 4 children with a range of special educational needs including Autism, MLD, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, communication impairments and physical disabilities.
The school is a warm and welcoming environment that helps children to flourish. Staff are supportive and you will be joining an experienced team of teaching assistants and teachers that always put the needs of the children first. Previous experience supporting children with additional learning needs is essential for this role. Job role:
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group support for children in Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering activities and interactive lessons.
- Keeping children safe, engaged and exited to come to school.
- Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and more.
- Working with an amazing team of teaching assistant to make a difference every day!
