SEN Teacher – Special Educational Needs
Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire
Salary: £32,916 (M1) – £51,048 (U3) + SEN 1 Allowance
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Maternity Cover
Start Date: ASAP or September
We are working in partnership with a well-established specialist SEN school in Maidenhead to recruit a qualified SEN Teacher. The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for pupils with a range of complex learning needs and places a strong emphasis on personalised learning, emotional wellbeing, and independence.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to pupils’ lives.
The Role
  • Teaching pupils with ASD, MLD, SLD, and associated needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual abilities
  • Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders
  • Implementing and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Creating a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, ideally within a special school or SEN provision
  • Strong understanding of adaptive and differentiated teaching strategies
  • Patient, resilient, and reflective teaching approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ECTs with a strong interest in SEN are encouraged to apply
