The Role
An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to join their department from April 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The role involves teaching Computer Science, ICT, and Business across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and practical lessons that develop students’ technical knowledge, programming skills, and problem-solving abilities. You will support pupils in preparing for GCSE Computer Science and vocational ICT qualifications, fostering digital literacy and confidence.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing pupil progress, providing feedback, and maintaining a structured and positive classroom environment.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Have experience teaching Computer Science, ICT, and Business at secondary level
  • Be confident delivering GCSE Computer Science and vocational ICT courses
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Be committed to supporting pupil progress and achievement
