Team Manager - Assessment and Child Protection

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Team Manager to lead Swindon’s Assessment & Child Protection Service. This is a frontline leadership role where you’ll guide practice, drive decision‑making and ensure children receive timely, effective safeguarding responses.

You will:

• Lead the Assessment & Child Protection team — providing day‑to‑day oversight, direction and professional guidance
• Oversee thresholds and decision‑making — ensuring referrals are managed safely and proportionately
• Provide reflective supervision — supporting Social Workers to deliver strong, consistent practice
• Quality‑assure assessments and plans — ensuring clarity, evidence and timely progression
• Work closely with multi‑agency partners — strengthening coordinated safeguarding responses
• Support court work and complex cases — offering guidance and ensuring robust planning

You need:

• Experience managing or supervising in safeguarding
• Social Work England registration
• Strong leadership and risk‑analysis skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
